Since his
creation in 1994, EMBRYONIC CELLS knew a lot of troubles, but
being doubly patient, after some demo and ten years in the underground,
the band 'orings out his first album called "Before The Storm".
History:
we realeased our first demo "Prima Nocte" in 1999. The
time came for the second demo, entitled "Necro-Revelation"
(2000). Touring the local scene and regions of France for five years.
During its representation the live performance was recorded and
was released as a DVD and also included interview, report and clip
(2005). Today, members of this band are: max (on guitars and vocals),
Djo (drums), Dom (bass), and Pierre (keys). During last days of
october 2006, EMBRYONIC CELLS recorded first album "Before
The Storm" in Creason Design Studio. Album contains 10 songs
of terrifying black-thrash metal, sinister, cold and agressive.
EMBRYONIC CELLS is not going to stop and at work upon the
two album, the recording of wich is going to be stardet in summer
2007. This band play live frequently and have shared the stage with
the following bands: Gwar, Nuclear Assault, Obscenity, Mysanthrope,
Kronos and more..
We are looking for a label to promote our sound and also contacts
with assoc./bands for making a tour. Contact us!!!
About
the music
With his new album (composed of 10 songs), the band found his real
identity. Embryonic Cells's music is a mix of agressive black-metal
and powerful thrash but the whole music is also melancolic. It's
a new step of his evolution: texts are darker and guitars are more
sharped.
The subjects in the songs
Some ideas come from pictures from our dreams or our childhood.
A lot of the texts deals with good and evil. Embryonic Cells's lyrics
talk about our propension to sound out the human soul , the texts
deals with human interiority. The fantastic allegory is a way for
us to evoke interiority, theothers and our nevroses. We love Eilenn's
work, F. Frazetta or J.Bosch's pictures.All these works talk about
the human soul beyond their monstrous appearence. these artists
are for us a big inspiration.

& concerts
Our absolute priority is playing, again and again... Embryonic Cells
is keeping on working on the scene and about that we're curious

Depuis sa création en 94, EMBRYONIC CELLS a connu bien des
tempêtes - redoublant de persévérance, après
quelques démos et plus 13 ans passés dans l'underground,
le groupe sort enfin son premier album "Before The Storm".
L'accueil reservé à l'album est sacrément bon
(voir rubrique chroniques) et le groupe est encouragé à
sortir un nouvel opus encore meilleur. Mai 2008, EMBRYONIC CELLS
s'apprête à sortir "Black Seas", enregistré
au Halphas Studio et masterisé au P&F Studio. La musique
d'EMBRYONIC CELLS privilégie toujours l'efficacité
et l'émotion mais la production devient surpuissante. La
dimension épique, la froideur des riffs, la tragédie
des arrangements et le chant déchiré combleront les
amateurs de noirceur métallique. Les 11 titres de "Black
Seas" sont agressifs, puissants et mélancoliques. Le
groupe ne cesse de se produire avec désormais plus de 250
concerts à leur actif, avec notamment les premières
parties de GWAR, MYSANTHROPE, OBSCENITY, NUCLEAR ASSAULT, DESTINITY,
HACRIDE, DARK AGE, KRONOS, X-VISION ect...

Propos de la musique
La musique s'est encore étoffée et le groupe confirme
une identité singulière avec ce second album, armé
de 11 titres. La musique d'Embryonic Cells plonge dans un mélange
brut de black-métal hargneux et de thrash puissant. L'ensemble
est aussi assez mélancolique. Avec "Black Seas"
le groupe accède aujourd'hui à une nouvelle phase
de son évolution, les textes sont encore plus sombres, la
musique agressive et la production du Studio Halphas bien plus puissante.
Les themes abordes dans les morceaux
Certaines idées proviennent d'images issues de nos rêves
ou de notre enfance. Il y a énormément de textes qui
traite de la notion de bien et de mal. Les paroles d'Embryonic Cells
témoignent surtout de notre propension à sonder l'âme
humaine et à sublimer les actes les plus abjects. Les textes
traitent de l'intériorité humaine. L'allégorie
fantastique est un moyen pour nous d'évoquer le soi, les
autres et nos névroses liées. "Black Seas"
prend pour cadre les univers inquiétants de H.P. Lovecraft
et R. Howard. Leurs oeuvres traitent de l'âme humaine bien
au-delà de leurs aspects monstrueux. Ces auteurs sont pour
nous une source d'inspiration très forte.
